What can I say?  I love thread.

Invisifil, DecoBob, Mirage, Metallics, omg I forget the other names! There were so many.

And that was my visit to Creative House on Tuesday!  It was like a candy store.  mmmm.  : )  I STILL can't find the right green (in any brand).  Do you think Wonderfil would make me a couple of custom colors in the Tutti line?  I'll be needing a canola yellow too in Konfetti. : )

Things I Love Thursdays

Oh my gosh!  I'm late... I love being in holiday mode because I have no idea what day it is!  haha  Hmmm... what do I love today?  I love that it's still so mild out that we can walk around to enjoy the displays instead of view them from the ice-scraped window of our van!

We enjoyed Smurfy (Murphy) Crescent and counted 117 blue smurfs the other night!  Brown Crescent was one of my favorites.  The whole street does a Charlie Brown theme each year.  ; )  I love the Peanuts gang.

They say that your favorite character says a lot about your own personality.  My favorite is always Peppermint Patty.  I guess that's true - I'm pretty easy going, unconventional, but often in my own little bubble.  I talk to myself a lot when people are around.  (haha)  What about you?  Who do you love?

Dragonflies!  I love dragonflies.  They came in hordes over the weekend and have devoured every single mosquito in sight.  It is a miracle : )

Anyhow - they ate ALL the mosquitoes... and so I love dragonflies.  ; )

Moving Right Along...

Happy Weekend!  Look what I did on Friday!  It's not finished, but I thought since the Highway 7 photo was such an interesting one, I would make it again to frame for this show & sale.  They original version of this is a medium sized quilted wallhanging.  I'm about to finish a much larger one on commission.  This one here is 6 by 8 inches, and will be matted and framed under glass.

This is really great.  I found this type of cloud to work really well.  It curves just like the landscape below.  I love how the colors work so well together - the bright green and the greyish blue.  I believe that's actually a flax field in the distance.  What do you think?  I suppose it could be the shadow of a cloud.  On my original wall hanging, people think it's a lake.  : )

I'm going to have to stop soon and spend some days just finishing eveything, mounting them, signing them, cutting the matting, and framing.  Gosh.  And then there's the yardwork!  It's a good thing that 3/4 of my garden is perennial.  Look!  The strawberries are finally blooming!
