Here are some Mother's Day cards made by a local class. The children all created their own patterns and then stitched out their design to mount on a card for their moms. Take a look! : )
They poked the holes into cardstock with a push pin, then kept their drawing as a pattern to follow.
Busy, busy, busy,
Cards for mom complete!
We used solid and variegated 12 wt Wonderfil thread - easier to manage than skeins of floss.
Isn't that amazing!? So many of them said this was their first time sewing, and 'This is so fun!' Most of the boys asked to take home extra supplies and a needle so they could continue stitching for their mothers over the weekend. (aaawe...)
This little guy - check it out!
He made quite an elaborate pattern and managed to finish it before the home time bell rang!
They sure liked it. Now they can all say that they know how to use a needle and thread.
Happy Mother's Day!
