Hooked.

More hooking with scraps... I love it!
Prairie Rug #3.  (actual size as photo shows - very small!)

This is what I did in between phone calls from Gardenscape over the weekend.  : )
It helped with the nerves from all the excitement.  ; )
Now I'm working on trying to re-create 'Bloom' as a vertical piece in scraps.  We'll see what happens!

Is that "latch" hooking?

I always wanted to learn how to hook rugs...

So you are hooking with cotton fabric?

Forget I asked that question. I cannot get 'hooked' into this. Much as I have always liked it I need to keep saying no, no! yee gads!

Kit:
No - no latch. It's just a hook, like a crochet hook almost. You hold a long, long length of fabric strip underneath, and with the hook on top you pull up just a bit of it through each successive space in the burlap grid. You go along until you've used up the strip, and then you bring the tail up and clip it to the same height at the loops so it blends in. Then you grab another strip of fabric, hold it underneath, and continue pulling pieces up. Totally stress-free compared to threadpainting or quilting. : ))) me like.

Elle- Yeah! I am using sliced up fabric scraps from the quilting fabric stash. : ) I don't have wool or a wool cutter, so I thought I'd try this out. It's about 3 1/4 inches by 7 1/2 inches. : ) It's cute when they are all on my wall together.
