It's still summer here! It's supposed to be very, very hot and sunny for another week. Off to the lake we go! We have four distinct seasons here, so I do pull my kids from school and play hookie when it still feels like this!
p.s. - I don't lie either. When the school asks, "oh are they sick?", I reply, "Nope. I'm driving to the lake and we will be swimming all day". I never get reprimanded for that. Instead, I usually get, "aawe! Can I come along?" : )

How funny! I keep thinking today is Sunday too! Your photo is beautiful. Your children's school is much more lenient than ours. I think children can learn as much or more on a trip to the lake once in awhile than they would have in a classroom for the day.
Jealous! Saskatchewan has so many great lakes to visit! I'm a fitness instructor and usually lose a lot of people over the summer, but I can't really blame them when the weather's this nice!
