Sunday Snapshots

I'm still here!  I've been out of the city for quite a few days for a number of different events and activities - from birthday parties to reunions to Karate tournaments to workshops.  Here are a few photos for you today. : )

the view in the common area of the highschool I graduated from 25 years ago : )

There is a flag for every country represented by a child at the school.  How pretty!

the view out my hotel room...  lots of fog !!!

I stayed alone in a hotel - what a fantastic down time for me.  I just laid there and stared at the ceiling after 2 days of teaching and presenting.  It was quiet.  It was fantastic (that and the sauna room).  ; )

On the third day, my husband and three kids joined me and we headed off to another city for a Karate Tournament.  I am so proud of my boys!!  Especially my eldest below.  He won his first medal in sparring.  He has a pile of gold medals from 4 years in Ballet believe it or not.

after 4 yrs of gold in Ballet, my oldest boy won his first medal in Karate.  : )

And here is his little brother - a very proud young man!  : )))

my little boy, his big awards

But wait - the fun didn't end there.  We headed off back to Saskatchewan again to see my mom and to celebrate a triple birthday.  We sang three times (albeit a bit early) - for my daughter, myself, and my mother.  We all share the same time of year.  That was fun!  It's been too long since we've seen my mom.  She was thrilled.  On the way home, I stopped at a turn in the muddy beach road and snapped these photos near her cabin where we grew up.  Such a lovey day!

Happy Sunday everyone!! : )

jackfish is gorgeous....I have stepgrandparents that live in meota so I went there a lot when I was younger! And there's nothing wrong with a boy doing ballet my little brother did it for two years when he younger (he claims it was to get chicks and it worked)

I've heard of Jackfish Lake as my hubby is a Winnipeg boy. Again, lovely photos and such a great weekend and happy times, thanks for sharing!
