Today, I headed out to our local quilt shop to meet Sheila M. from Nova Scotia! She told me she was in Saskatoon so we managed to round up this little group at Periwinkle Quilting for a visit, and then over to Jerry's for some icecream. Check it out! (Photo courtesy of my 9 yr old boy.)
From left to right: Annette from In Stitches & Seams, Michelle from Periwinkle Quilting & Beyond, Sheila from Sheila's Quilt World, Flo from Butterfly Quilting, Monika from My Sweet Prairie, and Brenda who we'll get blogging sooner or later ; ). Brenda has swapped quilted postcards with Sheila so it was fun for all of us to all finally meet! My friend Kerrie showed up with her baby but I'm not sure where she escaped to... or perhaps she hadn't arrived at the time of this photo.
Sheila was so sweet - she had a bag made for me and one for Annette. Then we took her for Saskatoon Berry Gelato at Jerry's. It was really great visiting with all those grown ups again. : )
Thank you Sheila! I ADORE this bag. : ) (Isnt' it pretty!?) I hope you like what I'm sending your way.
As for what I'm working on, I'm not getting very far very fast with this memory quilt for my cousin. I seriously need a nanny or I'll have to stay up into the wee hours. I will tell you that I have confirmed some prizes for The Needle & Thread Network's very first birthday! Wow, one year. I'm linking up there now if you would like to see what other bloggers are up to. Click to link: The Needle & Thread Network
Have a good week everyone! Soon, very soon, I'll be back into the swing of things...
