I love Prairie People. We make the best of life, don't we? Where else can you enjoy skies like this, play at a beach full of frogs, swim with leeches, and go sailing in a slough? At least the water is warm. lol You know when you go to Mexico in the winter, if you meet a Canadian, they are most likely from Saskatchewan. : )

Don't get me wrong - SK has an estimated 100,000 beautiful lakes. Everyone and their dog has access to a cabin somewhere. Growing up at the lake is an integral part of life on the prairie.

I LOVE the lakes! I love that we have two beaches within 20 minutes of the city. Guess where I'm headed today!? : )

great photos Monika. I live a five minute walk from the beach and don't appreciate it but love walking there in the winter.
Have a great beach day!
NICE! I really miss the lakes we had in Michigan! They are indeed wonderful!
I had no idea there were lakes like that in Sask. I thought it might be hard for me to live there since I've always been near the sea. The lake looks beautiful though.
I'm not overly fond of leeches but we have them here too in the rivers. And at the ocean we have jelly fish which are here now. Nothing is perfect!
Yes, lakes like no where else, by hubby is from Winnipeg, so sometime, we'll get over your way too!
My mom grew up with a cabin on Madge Lake, north(?) of Yorkton. Somewhere there is a sweet watercolour my grandfather painted of the road going into the cottage. Thanks for the memories Monika.
