Working, Working, Paper-Working.

Working, working, working.  Oh my.  I'm up to my ears in paperwork.  I'm done most of it.  I have two entry forms done for jurying, photo submissions to two books, articles to two magazines, and I've just signed an agreement for a REALLY big show - 25 pieces - that will take place a year from now.  WHEW.  lol  I did get a new commission for the Wolf Willow and Prairie Lilies, which I'm really looking forward to stitching out ; ).  (thank you!!)  For now, I'm up to my ears in postcards.  Here's one I finished.

It's very simply done, but sure turned out nice!  It's the sunset reflecting in the lake.  I used shiny rayon Wonderfil threads in pink and powder blue.  The fabric was hand dyed and purchased at the estate sale of Corinne Appleton last year.  I hope she would have liked what I've done with it!  ; )

And WHOOOOO!  Look what flew into my mailbox!  3 postcards from the 'Embellished Owls' swap at PostcardCottage!

Thank you Karen R. in Boise ID, USA!

Thank you Tamara K. in Shellbrook, SK Canada!

Thank you Becky J. in Pendleton, OR USA!

If anyone is interested locally, there may still be spots left at The Studio on 9th when I'm running postcard workshops.  You can click on the link at the top of the page.  For a full list of classes, see the top menu bar.  I'll be teaching regularly at Creative House after the summer.

I've just discovered fabric postcards and had my first swap. I think it's more my style than paper crafting so I may do more in the future. You really did get some wonderful cards.

Wow! It looks like you're taking off!! This is fabulous! I thought the sunset postcard was a picture on the linky list. I guess it might be helpful to see these things at different sizes; sort of like standing back I guess. Big fat congrats!!
