A Terrific Canada Day Weekend

What a great weekend!  It was hot and sunny.  Everyone was happy.  We drove, we swam, we slept in the heat, we played a lot.  My sewing machine got no use, but my camera is smokin'!  We drove out of town to Bernie's yesterday where I taught the postcards class.

the view out her back door.  SWEET!

I delivered the Lapel Stick from the draw to her, and wandered around the property "taking pictures of all the weeds" as she told my husband.  lol  I got some good ones!!  Here's one of Campanula / Blue Bell Flowers.

SWEET!  I'm printing this off BIG for my wall.

The kids had fun with the dogs, and the cows, and the rocks, and the dog bones.

cow bums & barbed wire

I got another pretty one on the way home.  I really love all the purple clover so much.  I had some of the really clear photos printed off and am heading out pick them up today.

Abandoned Building & Alfalfa in Bloom

FYI - I skipping Tips on Tuesdays for the summer, but there are LOTS of posts to look through if you click on the link at the top of the page.  I'll have lots more Tips posts ready for September.  In the mean time, I'll be back on Wednesday with (hopefully) some wildflower embroidery to show you.  It's time to get moving on Jesica's quilt border.  : )  Have a great day!

Monika,
It was a fun quick visit. Hope your children enjoyed it as much as they seemed to and that the souvenior bones weren't a bit over the top! Glad your pictures turned out well - love the one thru the door. You should have been here for the sunset tonight - it was stellar. I still haven't figured out how to darken our fancy camera though- guess I might have to get the manual out.
Bernie

FYI - the purple flowers are actually alfalfa not clover - those are the tall yellow ones.

Great pictures. I luved the previous post of you holding the sewing machine and looking for sewing inspiration. You need to do that one for yourself and your photographer!!!
