LOVE the grey ribbon. |
I love fibre art. You know that.
Did you know I also heart snow globes?
But what I really like is fibre art IN snowglobes!!
Can you dig it? It's my "very merry prairie". tee hee.
I had to. Michelle Flowers (artist mama friend) and I talked about finding the frame and then creating the art. It makes it so much easier. So I found the snowglobe. And the art is from yesterday's photo stunt outside of the city. (Pretty good hey Michelle?) : ) I need to make more.
What do you think? The little winter landscape is 2" x 3.7/8". It's VERY small. It's made of felt, dyed cheese cloth, rayon threads, cotton variegated threads, sheer ribbon, yarns, and a recycled dryer sheet. I bet you didn't know there was that much in it!? Oh yeah... and one snow globe.
happy Friday!

So much detail, time, talent and love put into that little snowglobe, I just LOVE it and YOU!

SEW cool!!!! LOVE all of it, but especially the green one with the grass stems. WOW! Do you teach? Incredible!!
Awe thanks!
That first fibre art piece is a 2x2" close up of a prairie scene I did that was 18x12". LOTS of work. I sold it at my most recent exhibit.
Teach - I did a post card class once. That's it. I'm self taught, so I don't know fi I could teach. I have no role models that way. ?
LOVE IT. SOOOOO beautiful. do you pick it up and shake it everytime you go past? It would look just like today with all of the fluffy snow we had. Cant wait to hang out sometime this week. Lots of stuff to catch up on!
