Here are some photos I took at the Delta Bessborough Hotel when I was there dropping off my artwork. "The Bess" is referred to as the castle on the river. My Liam (7) was in AWE the whole time, sure that he was in a real castle.

You probably can't see this, but someone wrote "Nicole, will you marry me?" in the snow. We went up to the top floor (full of offices!?) and asked someone in an office if we could look out their window. : ) They were nice enough to say yes and let us come in for a look. It looks over the South Saskatchewan River. There are weddings, concerts, and festivals back there in the summer.

did you get to see the ghost? it is said that there is one - albeit a very quiet and polite ghost...just appears walking down the hallway, then...disappears....
when my children were small, we told them it was lord droon's castle (from the bartholemew cubbins books). they were well grown up before they realized the deception!
