of course i'm excited! but my nose froze to the plastic i think. |
Here's the quilt that is in it. It's my first pattern ever - very scary. lol It's a simple baby quilt that uses extra large sized strip piecing.
It's called "Hugs & Kisses" because when looked at the top after it was pieces, I saw x's and o's. That's why I decided to quilt it with the word "love" continuously in circles. I knew this thread would be perfect!
Thank you Quilter's Connection! And by the way, IT WORKS. There's been a couple new contacts / 'quilter connections' already from other Canadian quilters out in blogland! : ) That is an unexpected bonus! Next time I will mail the quilt. I'm not sure why my photos turned out so grey? (note to self for next time...)
Off to the auction...

I also want to thank you Monika, for my fun package that arrived today, all the way from Saskatchewan! I love the fabric, when I figure out what I'm goin' to make, I'll be sure to let you know. The added postcards was such a fun surprise, and are just beautiful...thank you again!
Funny how life works, I stumble upon your blog and before you know it, I feel like I've found a friend.

Congratulations Monika!
What an adorable quilt! Isn't is exciting to write patterns. I love it! I am going to have to go and find a copy so I can check out the whole story.
Love the idea of a Canadian magazine promoting Canadian designers.
I LOVE the quilting done in words. Great idea. I'm going to have to get a copy of that magazine, too. Congratulations!
Very nice quilt. Thanks for sharing it and the story of publication.
Wow, congratulations Monika! What an accomplishment! It must be so exciting to see your quilt and the pattern in "real" print (since so much of this stuff is online now!) And it's a really adorable quilt, very deserving of being published. Way to go.
