My Silk Ribbon Source

On my left sidebar I have links to some of the businesses that I frequent and am thankful for.  I've added a new one that I would love to tell you about.  After creating the last few pieces with silk ribbon, so many emails came in asking, 'where do you buy those ribbons!?'.  For the life of me, I could not find silk ribbon locally.  The few I had were gifted to me.

adding hand dyed silk ribbons to my work

So I hopped on over to Etsy, since they have everything there, right?  The oddest supplies can be conjured up online.  My pick was RibbonSmyth which is in North America.  I placed a quick order.  It was very affordable.  Thank goodness shipping ribbons in an envelope costs merely pocket change to do.  It was very worth my while.  I ended up using nearly everything and I began to look around her shop for more.  It linked to a website FULL of silk ribbon & other ribbon embroidery products.  JACKPOT!

RibbonSmyth by Victoria Adams Brown

I approached her about bartering because I hate asking for advertising money.  It's a deal.  She supports me and I support her.  So if you are in need of silk ribbon supplies, RibbonSmyth is really a terrific source.  Her logo on the sidebar links to her store if you ever need to find her at a later date.  Thank you very much Victoria!  It's a pleasure doing business with you.

Oh so tempting.
I did some silk ribbon embroidery when my daughter was young and I did smocking. Time to find those supplies again.
thanks for the source info. They seem to have some very good prices and values.

I've bought goodies from Victoria in the past and was very pleased with what I purchased. I bought from her .com website. I didn't realize she had an Etsy store. I must go look:)

I can highly recommend Ribbonsmyth to you. Vickie is meticulous in dyeing her ribbons and the work is excellent - lovely colours and variety. I've known Vic for many years and can attest to the fact that she is a knowledgeable, reliable source and you can count on the quality of her products.

The link seems to be broken when I tried a few minutes ago. Do you have another address?

Yes... that was a couple years back. Unfortunately, I think she is no longer selling. I am unable to contact her. Sorry!
I have since ordered from Etsy ... there are some great Aussie sellers. Also, Meinke Toy had some... good luck!
