I pulled the kids off to school in the sleds today! Whew - what a dump of snow, but the temperature is really nice out. FUN FUN tonight! My husband just came in from using the snow blower. It's just way too deep to shovel. So I'm 'stranded' in my studio. ; ) I'm framing up two commissions that are finished (I'll show you tomorrow). Right now I have October's Eve all matted & framed. Oooh it's such a marvelous piece to me! I will have to stare at this one for a long while before I sell it.
I am so in love with the glow in this piece. The sky is hand painted. The slough is done with Wonderfil rayons. I am so glad I chose this over cotton right here.
The knots - I love the knots so much too. They are the curls at the tops of the reeds. I know you have seen this one already, but it just feels like a new piece once it's framed. ; )
I'm super-happy with this one. Okay - the sun is shining and the sky is blue. It's just gorgeous outside. I'm framing a few more before I'm off to get the kids from school. : )

This is incredibly gorgeous framed Monika. The white and then stepped matting and the frame all highlight the reflections in the water. I sure hope you keep this one for yourself :).
Stay inspired!

That teensy bit on the lower left corner, the marsh....that's my favourite.
It's beautiful, no wonder you want to keep it for a while!
Absolutely stunning! Your work is so unique. I wish I lived nearby so I could take one of your classes.
Monika, this piece is so beautiful! I don't blame you for wanting to live with it for a while. It does definitely have a glow.
Can be such a wonderful thing to be snowed in... enjoy the fresh snow and wow, that is still one of my favorites of yours!
