Hey look! I actually found some snow! |
I love yellow!!! I love the gracefulness and delicacy of grasses. I love the air of the prairies.
I went to the river's edge to take some photos, and I love that I could run my fingers through the sand! : )
I love all the colors. I love to set my pictures on higher contrast to see the definition of lines & shapes.

Mostly - I love, love, love Saskatchewan. I can't help it. It's in my blood I guess. I just get so much out of living here. I need all that land. I need all that sky. I need all the seasons to feel alive. I love wind, warm, cold, wet, dry...

These are beautiful images, thank for sharing them! It is interesting, I find that people from the prairies understand what you mean by "all that sky" but people from other places just don't. When I am away, I miss the sky the most.
Thank you Monika for putting into pictures and words how most prairie people feel. As much as I hate driving in icy ruts, I'm really missing winter and a good blizzard. I'll never be a snowbird :)

I am always amazed at how you see and capture the beauty in the smallest of things on the prairie! What might be dead grass and a bit of snow is beautiful now! And then..you recreate this beauty in your work...I am in AWE!!
Awe thanks Flo and Joyce and Leanne : ) Awe.
Leanne - my Australian friend noticed the sky here too - she said it's different. She thinks the clouds are lower and feels like you can almost touch them when you are outside. You do feel like you are IN the sky here. When you look out on a cloudy day, you can almost see onto the tops of all the clouds.
...hard to explain... It's because there are no ginormous or mountains holding everything up. ; )

Really special to see 'home' in pictures like that. I love the blue of the last picture and the contrast of the wavy grass. Home to me is a forest/mountains/lake... and usually lots of green. Cool to look at where others feel most comfortable. And funny how big sky would feel so strange to me. Wishing you an awesome day!!
Monika , I would have to say in my visits to Saskatchewan it was the open sky I noticed the most , it seems to go on forever and the ability to see for miles is amazing but I didn't care too much for that cold :-)

Fabulous pictures!
What a spectacular set of photos this is! I also love that high contrast setting, I must remember that. Thanks for the boost!
