ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND.

Yeah!  Like as in : 100,000 !  That's how many 'hits' my blog has had in about a year and a half.  That doesn't include my visits.  WHOA!  I hope I have been some serious inspiration for some of you.  I started this blog in order to let people see what I"m making - specifically, the people who had commissioned quilts or art from me.  I thought they would like to see their piece as it is created.  I never thought I would enjoy blogging so much.  (It's easy for me - I journalled daily for fifteen years...)

colors, binding, buttons included in the kit for "Snips n Snails" quilt

To celebrate ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND times being checked out, you want a piece of me?  I'll do a random draw Thursday night, and announce the winner on Friday morning.  What's the prize?  I have 1 copy of this magazine and one fabric kit (minus white fabric, batting, backing and thread).  This is the summer issue of A Needle Pulling Thread, and the kit includes buttons, binding, and precut color strips to make this quilt.  The pattern is published inside, and it features embroidery as well.

A Needle Pulling Thread, Summer 2011 pattern here

Skill Level: SUPER SIMPLE.

templates for the snails, mushrooms, dragonflies are in the magazine

All you have to do is leave a comment with your email if it's anonymous.  Tell me in the comments what keeps bringing you back here.  Is it the photos?  The art?  The fact that I am so darn funny?  haha.  Maybe you can't believe anyone would live in the prairies and so you keep coming back to see if I'm really still here?  Let me know what it is for you, and I will try to keep it up.  One comment/entry per person please.

Have a great day, and thanks again ANPT!

Wow, that's a lot of readers! I come back because, you are a consistent poster, you live in the prairies(I've never been and the photos are interesting. I like the idea of reading Canadian blogs. Somehow I convince myself you're closer when in fact I could be in the US in about 6 hours.
Also, I love your thread paintings!

I keep coming back to see your awesome creations. I would love to win an autographed copy of the mag since I haven't been able to find it in my area. I'd let someone else win the kit as I'm unable to use it.
Stay inspired!

100,000 is such a great milestone! I'm very happy for you :)

So many reasons to read you (generally via RSS, so I'm not even sure those are considered 'hits'!)...
1. Because you do such amazing things with thread.
2. Also because you live like 5 minutes from me.
3. We share many of the same philosophies.
4. You're practically a star... how can I not?! :)

Congratulations my friend.

Congrats! All of the above ;-). It's fun to make connection through blog-land. LOVE your fiber art, love that you do free-motion, and so much more. It's fun too that we both have kids the same age, and it's fun to see life in such a northern place!

Monika,
Many things make me come back. I love that your journal your process so that makes it easier to learn, you are rather funny, you aren't pretentious and you are so enthusastic.
I seriously hope I'm the random draw winner. I'm taking the winter off from reno (hardly ever update my blog site but I only have like 15 followers) and am sewing like crazy.
