The sunshine has been incredible this solstice! It is so refreshing since the last eight or twelve weeks have been entirely covered in grey. This 'rebirth of the sun' really feels legitimate. I took my three kids out to Wanuskewin, a first nations heritage site overlooking the South Saskatchewan River valley. It's a three minute drive out of the city. We got there just in time to watch the sun return / rise. This photo was taken around 9:30 am. It was after the longest night of the year.
