The sun has been sparkling all that beautiful snow, and so I headed out to an offleash field by the river with my doggy. This is my favourite picture! It's funny because the view makes it look like a huge hill, and it's not.
At the top, he waits for me to throw the stick again. Look at all the rosehips! The more you look, the more you see.
It was beautiful out there. I'm always so proud of my camera when it can get the blue as true blue as it was. These are all unedited. Look at how the curly grasses leaping in waves! You can see which way the wind was blowing when it snowed. They are all stuck that way now.
Today was windless. It was beautiful. I could have walked for hours. I got to the cliff that overlooks the river. I thought about how lucky I am to live here. I watched a documentary lastnight about the Saskatchewan River Delta. It's the largest freshwater delta in all of North America. !? Wow. I did not know. This river flows from the rocky mountains, runs across the prairies. feeds many wetland habitats along the way, and empties into the Hudson Bay. I remember when my little boy discovered on his map of Canada that he could sit in a boat and float out all the way to the Ocean from here in Saskatoon. ! Imagine! haha
Buddy's paw prints, and my big white boots draging in the snow. : ) |
And we made it to the cliff! : ) I hope you are enjoying your holidays and the dog days of December.
