Gardenscape hours are 11am to 9pm Friday, 9am to 7pm Saturday, and 10am to 5pm on Sunday at Saskatoon Prairieland Park. The place was buzzing with everyone setting up their areas. The art group is one area. Artists volunteer for shifts so there is always people to help you are handle a purchase. The important thing is if you want a piece of art, you get a volunteer to put a red dot on it. The boards are supposed to stay full, although if you are from out of town, we are happy to make exceptions. If you are in the city, I will deliver you art after the show.
I have thirteen new threadpaintings up. One is sold already! : ) Unsold pieces will be made available online later, and then brought to the Craft Council for sale there. Working away, I was surprised to see that I had made enough to fill the board. I actually have 2 at home that still need to be framed, so I'm certainly feeling ahead of the game this year.
Above - Meewasin in Winter. It looks sharp with the wide mat, and the frame matches the trees. I think this is my favourite.
I have a handful of Mixed Media birds as well that are photo and stitch. My birds are priced at half the price I charge for my threadpaintings because the technique is a simpler one. People seem to really like them and I sure like stitching birds! ; )
...and I said I'd never do it again, but I did. I worked out another evergreen threadpainting. This one is a little smaller than last year's at 7" x 7", framed to 12x12. It's a LOT of green thread, all done with self directed machine stitching.
I also have a little canola field, a lake scene, a cornfield, and handful of floral fields with pretty sky. I got the last frame put together right in time for set up. What A MESS my studio is now. lol
My shifts are Friday eve, Saturday eve, and Sunday afternoon. I'm really looking forward to it! : )
Happy Spring!

I'm amazed by your thread work. I have done some thread painting with my machine but can't hold a candle to your work. :)
