It's been a busy week! I am STILL finishing the '2014 Wish You Were Here' quilted postcards. There are several dozens of them. I'm so close though! Just thirty or forty edges left...
I particularly love the one on top there. It's a mock version of my big 'Prairie City' threadpainting. I like it. I think I'll make more. (**Please do not outright copy my art. Thank you!) These will all be for sale soon. I plan to split them up between the Craft Council Boutique and my Etsy shop (that is gathering dust). I may frame up some of my favorites for Gardenscape. Part of me is tempted to have a photography exhibit instead of fibre art. I'll keep you posted on that. Gardenscape is still a month away.
For now, work - work - work...
PS - I plan to be in Edmonton during the first week of May. If anyone is interested in hosting my Creative Quilted Postcards Workshop, please let me know! It's a 3 to 4 hr workshop and I supply EVERYTHING but machines & thread. That would help me pay my way as I snoop around the FFAA Prairie show in search of treasures for the show I'm curating. (!) ; )
I can be contacted directly at monika @ mysweetprairie .ca for more information. The workshop & kit fee are very affordable.
Talk soon!

Your works in progress and your workroom look just great, Monika. Makes me feel warm! LOL
Great work Monika. Wish I could get to one of your workshops but it's a bit far to go. xx
I love the one on top, too. Your postcards are such a lovely pile of colour and texture. Thanks for sharing your sewing room. It looks like home, to me.
