Things I Love Thursdays

I love when my little nature kids make soup.  They cooked all afternoon.

I love garden anemonies so much!

I love how they are all the same, but pose individually in all directions.
I love the tenderness between these two.

Now off to pretend to gobble up all the soup.  ; )

OMG! We used to make soup we we were kids too. I didn't know anyone else did that. Crazy!

We've got some of those anemonies in orange (started blooming yesterday) here over by the corrals. The county assessors were out here last week & they were really jealous when they saw the buds. So gorgeous!

I love the Benni Harper mystery/romances by Earlene Fowler. Benni is an ex-cowgirl, quilter who works in a folkart museum. She has the unusual knack for finding dead bodies...without looking for them:) Easy reading, interesting characters and a super sexy, mysterious chief of police, mm hmm!! I recommend reading them in the order in which they were written so that you get the chronological order of events in Benni's life. I'm reading them now for the second time. All are available at the public library.

I forgot to mention that all the book titles are names of quilt patterns, eg. Fool's Puzzle, Irish Chain, Kansas Troubles, etc.

Do the anemonies come in yellow too? I swear I painted some without knowing ;).
Stay inspired!

I have no idea! People often confuse them with poppies. Poppies of course come red, orange, yellow, and even purple/black, and blue too! But anemonies... I'll need to do a search. My husband is infatuated with salt water aquariums, and when I tell him those are anemonies in the back yard, he thinks I'm completely off my rocker. Thus, I call them "garden anemonies". lol

there you have it - red and blue? They sure do look like poppies. Mine are "snow drop".

Thanks for looking that up Monika. Mine are abstract, so I guess they can be any colour I want ;). lol
