Hello, Farewell, and a Contest.

Say hello to 'Sweet Clover'.  If you are ever driving on a hot summer day and you see those elongated yellows and whites in the ditches, STOP, roll down the window and smell.  It's a smell you will never forget.  Don't go running through them however as they are typically loaded with honey bees.

Sweet Clover, 2013 (actual size)

It's a little greener in real life I think, but the distant fields are chartreuse as it looks.  The horizon is from the lovely package of goodies sent to me by my buddy Christie (Describe Happy blog).  I like the next photo - the 'glamour shot'.  ; )

Okay, now say goodbye to 'Sweet Clover'.  A friend of mine unexpectedly fell in love with it and bought it.  !  On one hand, that's bad because now I have to sew even more to make the spring deadline.  But of course, it's good - because on the way home I stopped at McNally Robinson's and bought a few books, completely guilt free.  It's like a personal reward system for all the needle pricks in my fingers.  lol

* * *  Guess what books I bought?  * * *
I'll think of something to send to the first person who guesses correctly (or at least the closest).  There are three books on my table now.  Guess as many books as you like in a comment below.  Just be the first to get one right, and I'll offer a selection of things for you to chose from.  How does that sound?

GOOD LUCK!  (You'll need it.)

    CAn't think of the third but I can visualize a great needle art mag. The name leaves me.

  2. I can't guess what you would get because if I started looking I would want to get them.... sigh

    But I really wish you would create an online class to teach what you do. If you ever come to Southern Ontario I will be there if at all possible.

  3. I can't begin to guess but I'll bet it's either a stitchery book or a nature book about grasses. I purchased Judith Baker Montano's 'Embroidery and Crazy Quilt Stitch Tool' recently....

    Re: an online class - I second that wish!
