This Friday I am offering a 'Creative Postcards 2' class for the first time. I've been running postcard workshops for about 3 years now. (Where has the time gone!???) This 'advanced' class will be so much more creative since we won't be focusing on basic construction. I spent most of the morning doing up some class samples for creative stitching. I'M having to much fun. Gosh - the possibilities are endless!
We're going to work on new techniques including couching, cording, applique, relief work and getting glitzy with interesting borders. Enough satin stitching already! We can do so much more. Look at this. I can't get over how pretty this all is. : )
We'll be using some strange yarns, shiny threads, and experimenting with patterns. Thank you so much Christie for sending this giant batch of bling! I will be adding some of it to my class supply stash. We're going to have fun with this!
If you are coming, please bring all your presser feet, bobbins, and thread. I bring more thread, embellishments, and all the fabric & stabilizers. We will be doing some free motion work and basic hand embroidery techniques will be part of it! Top stitch machine needles and crewel embroidery hand needles are very helpful. Creative House has them on site if you need.
If you want to come, there are a couple spots left. You can read more about or book a spot HERE . See you then!
Welcome

You are most welcome!! I couldn't resist the textures of the funky ribbons and they had you written all over it! Have great class... and was wonderfing what stabilizer you use for postcards?
what fun you'll all be having. I love to play with the stitches on my machine, there are so many to love.
I hope some day that you will have an on line class. I so admire your work but it is a long drive from where I live to take this class... sigh. lol
