WIP Wednesday - Denmark Near Completion!

Now that the Spring Art Show & Sale is done, I'm back to finishing commissions.  Megan, thank you for your patience!  It was so time consuming to create a new body of work for Sunday's sale that everything else has been on the back burner.  Attendance for the group show that afternoon was extremely low and I have lots of art available!  Perhaps I'll haul it all to North Battleford in July.  For now, here is Denmark, coming right along...

Choosing the right thread... working from the computer - photo email to me.

MEGAN-  Check it out!  I'm so excited this is working.  I am so close to being finished now!

Denmark in Progress

I will lighten some of the tree tops with white marking chalk.  Then I have a few other highlights, the picnic table, and some grasses in the foreground.  I am so very pleased with this.  Then, as I was about to dash out the door to pick up the kids from school, this caught my eye....

the water!  it's glowing.

'Crocuses in Spring' is still here in my studio.  It's sold, but I haven't delivered it yet.  I really enjoy the softness of this piece.  It's been nice to sit with it a while longer.

Oh!  Check this out!  The provincial craft council held a contest to generate names for the new online craft store, and they picked mine!  I sent them LOTS of ideas, including Big Sky, Fine Craft (pretty cool), and SASKCRAFTCHEWAN (aweful, I know, but I had to do it!).  Haha. Isn't that a great surprise!?

Thank you SCC!

You can bet that I plan to shut down my inactive Etsy store and transfer items to this new SCC Craft E Store!  I'll let you know when I do.  : )

I'm linking up to The Needle and Thread Network with all the other fabulous Canucks.

  7. Great piece, congrats, and I too have not been re-listing my expired Etsy things. IMO that site has become way too big. Single listings get lost quickly in the masses :(. Glad you have a local place to sell. BTW, I plan to start putting my postcards in our local art center's gift shop too :). Thanks for getting me started!

  9. Monika, you have the Midas touch! LOL! Everything you touch turns to gold -- or in the Biblical, everything you turn your hand to prospers and succeeds. :-) May you continue to be so blessed!

P.S. I couldn't tell -- which of your names did they pick?

  12. Congrats on the win, and sorry for the low turnout. We had the same problem with our puny exposition.

  14. Please let me know if you're looking for a author for your weblog. You have some really great articles and I think I would be a good asset. If you ever want to take some of the load off, I'd really like to
write some material for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine.

Please shoot me an email if interested. Kudos!
