We have this little zoo in Saskatoon that's free/by donation in the winter months. It's been so incredibly mild this winter, it constantly feels like spring. Last weekend, I took my youngest kids to the zoo to do some hiking and see the beautiful animals. I know some people don't like zoos. We have ducks and chickens, wolves and foxes, goats and owls. There's a barn cat. I forget his name. There's sheep. It's a bit like regular Saskatchewan. : ) There's not a lot of 'exotic' there, but we have fun adventuring none-the-less. My favourite part it the large horned beasts - the Bison, Wapiti, etc.
And so, with camera in hand, I noticed that not only is spring in the air, but 'spring is in the air'. The beasts are rather affectionate toward each other. Look at this couple! (oh I feel like a peeping tom...) In the spirit of Valentines, I hope this warms your heart.
She walks up to him, and they snuggle up, eyes closed, horns interlocked. Look at that! : ) How ROMANTIC!
Cuddle, cuddle.
And then - THEY KISS!
Smoochy, smoochy... and then some more hugs.
Gosh darn they are cute.
I think she's blushing!
Happy Valentines Day. : ) Happy Family Day long weekend. xo

Such lovely photos. I hope their romance flourishes.
ReplyDeleteSeria muito bom se no Brasil não fosse permitido animais exóticos presos em jaulas. Este zoo é o mais correto!
ReplyDeleteFico triste quando vejo animais presos que deveriam estar livres na natureza!
