| work in progress... flax and canola fields for 'B' |
This is the point where I move to the hand embroidery. Just a couple hundred French Knots, and I can finish & clean it up. I'm aiming for a 'Finished-it-Friday' though I'm not sure I'll have it mounted, matted & framed until next week. I wish you could see this in person. The photo doesn't do it justice. I need to set up the tripod. I cannot for the life of me get a well focused shot of this.
In progress... linking to The Needle & Thread Network for WIP Wednesday.

It's lovely Monica! I know what you mean about the machine quilting stage. Makes me nervous! I can't imagine doing that many French knots by Friday!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Monika! Like the fact that you only have a few hundred french knots to add to this piece - why wouldn't you have this done in the next day or two :) I know you can do it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful:)
ReplyDeleteCan't get over your work Monika...beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow, this one's going to be a beaut!! Could it be you're getting even better at this?
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel about getting focussed pictures. I used to have no trouble, then the image-stabilized lens went for a trip to TO. I started taking all these blurry shots. Now the image-stabilized lens is back and the shots are still a bit short of clear. I don't know what's going on at all.
I love your work, Monika! Beautiful with all the machine & hand stitching. I like to hand stitch and couch interesting fibres.
ReplyDeleteYour work really is something else... so life like!
ReplyDeleteThis is terrific! What a well composed scene..
ReplyDeleteI do see Saskatchewan!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely before even being finished. Also, if you get nervous, what chance do I have?
ReplyDeleteReally lovely Monika, as always. I wish I could see it more closely too.i am a VERY shaky photographer. LOVE my tripod but it is not always handy. Have you tried a Gorillapod? It is GREAT!
